Cages are used to restrain slaves. These can be big enough to allow the slave some room to move, or they may be so small as to act as their own form of bondage.

Slave cages are symbolic of having an unwilling prisoner, or reducing the slave to being a pet that must be locked away. The use of slave cages are quite common in BSDM.
